Living With Family is For the Birds!!

I'm sure someone is thinking, yep so right. And maybe many of you have never had to live with family as an adult. Well let me tell you - avoid it like the plague if you can! I am thankful to have a roof over my head and a place to stay right now, but two families under one roof is hard to deal with.

The situation is this - I bought a used but really nice mobile home and set it up. But then I didn't enough income to do the finishing things that needed to be done. So I am staying with family until it is ready (which is getting REALLY CLOSE Thankfully!)

Things are so crazy living in a house of 7 people when there are only 4 bedrooms. No one respects anyone else and it's always nuts!

Everyone has their way of doing things and it clashes a lot. I love my family dearly, but I will be so grateful to have my own place and be able to do things the way that my wife and I like to have them.

I want to hear from you - Have you ever had to live with family? What was your experience? Were there things that you did to make it easier for everyone?

Sorry For The Long Break

I know it has been a few weeks since I wrote on this blog but a lot has happened since I started. First off, my middle child was sick for over a week and I was taking care of her during that period. A bug seems to be going around and she was one of the ones hit with it. High fever, coughing, throwing up, you name it. Thankfully it did not spread throughout the house. Secondly, I have taken on reviewing for another blog and I can't wait to officially start that adventure. It will give me the kick I need to get motivated and be closer to my dream. Writing has quickly become my passion even if some of my post may be random. It is just another way that I can relieve stress and get things off of my chest. I still will be getting the hot topics started and I am hoping to get some of the readers involved. If you are interested in guest posting or have an idea for a hot topic, feel free to shoot me an email at bbproductreviews.com at any time. Until next time.

Is It Time For School Yet??

I'm sure someone is reading that and thinking - Good Lord why would you say that? But let me explain. With 5 kids running around the house constantly, it gets very loud and very wild.

Not only that, I work from home. Being a blogger is a dream of mine and I would not change that for anything. But I am a person who works better on a schedule. I have got to stick to a schedule to know that things are getting done. Let's face it, I've gotten off track while the holidays have been here. Our family needs their schedule back - and the kids going back to school is going to be the first thing!

We have had extra kids here during the break off and on spending the night and I love that the kids are able to have friends over, but it causes even more chaos and no schedule.

Our kids seem to get cranky when they are not on a schedule and I know that it is going to take a few days to get them back on that schedule. I'm so glad that starting Thursday night they will be going to bed on their school bed time and waking up a little earlier. We are very much a night owl family and when they stay up with me they sleep a lot more during the day. Even on my off days, I have work to do. But it seems in the holiday time I have slept in much later than I needed to during my off days.

We work much better as a family unit when we are all on a schedule that we are used to. Anyone else agree that having your family on a schedule works better for you? I love when the kids are home, but we need our schedule.

Sticks & Stones May Break My Bones....

The other day I was preparing the house for New Years, so I was moving pretty quickly trying to get stuff done. The hubby and I had already rearranged the living room so that our sectional could be together. The only problem is that there is not the much space between the couch and the entertainment center so one would have to really pay attention when walking through. Well, being as though I was moving so quickly and not really paying much attention to that fact, I walked right into the entertainment center. Ouch!!!! That is the only words that come to mind. It's pretty funny now but I fell so hard on the couch that I was speechless for about thirty seconds. Ever watch Family Guy? Well I felt like Peter when he fell on the sidewalk and hurt his knee. Ugh! I couldn't even utter a word. Just the sound of pain and anguish. Now I have this huge bruise on my leg that still hurts days later. Sticks and stones may break my bones but the furniture darn well may kill me. lol :)

What have been your most funniest or not so funny bumps and bruises of 2012?

Happy New Year!!

It's 2013!! How was your New Years? My husband decided that he wanted to cook and have company over our house at the last minute. At first I was not feeling having to cook and entertain but I am glad we did. My sister in law and a few other family members popped in so we had a ball. It was great bringing in the new year with all of them.

This New Years I have not made any resolutions because I don't normally keep them. So my motto for this year is to take baby steps. Make short term goals and stick to those. I started a weight loss challenge today that will last for the entire month of January. Wish me luck! I also started reading a new book which I haven't done in a while. The plan is to read it within two weeks. I read five chapters today so I think I am doing good.

What are your New Years resolutions if any?

I wish you all a Happy New Year and I look forward to bigger and better things in 2013!!
